Changes!

Hello there, my dear friends and family!

Showing Strength
Showing Off Strength

I hope that all is well and that you are continuing strong in the faith. :)

Welp, we just had changes this week. and I'm going to tell you what happened.......
after I tell you what happened this week!

Love sharing the pancakes!
LOVE pancakes!

This week my comp and I went out to look for a person  that we had contacted in the street a while ago. We found his house, knocked on his door, and his wife answered. We talked to her a bit and she got really interested. We went back the next day to visit. And in the lesson, she asked us if it was ok if she could go to church with us :D

AND She asked us when we could come back and visit the whole family.
AND she reminded HERSELF of the homework that we gave her. :)
Wow! I'm excited to continue with her.

Miracles are real my friends. The only requirement to receive one is to believe that you will, and do something to make it happen. And God will help you along the way and make the result even greater than what you hoped for.

Elder Harrison transferred to another area. =(

Now...

With the changes, I will be staying here in Delicias with a new comp. And I mean a NEW comp! He just made it here from the MTC in Mexico -- Fresh out of the training center and ready to do some good :)

Elders Morales (NEW companion) and Greenwood
His name is the name of my first father (trainer) in the mission, Elder Morales.
He is from the City of Mexico. He is a convert to the church and the only member of his family. The faith that this guy has to come on the mission, being the only member of his family, is incredible. I am honored and humbled to have the chance to train him. I hope to be able to help him become the best missionary that he possibly can. :)

Love you all! Have the BEST of weeks! :)

Diligencia

Hello Friends and Family of all ages!

Now I just need some water....
This week has been a week of stuff. I have now completed 1 year in the mission. It went by fast. I love being here and I love doing what I'm doing. I've learned much and still have much to learn. I am eternally grateful that my Heavenly Father gave me the chance to serve a mission. It is the greatest thing that a person can do. If you are at the point of considering going on a misison, my advice for you would be.... DO IT! You will not regret it.

Ready to do the traditional shirt burning

Hit one year mark along with Elder Harrison
It's official! One year down!

Oh look! Found some water! Now I need the boat!

This week, I learned a bit about Diligence. One of the attributes that Christ has. Diligence is the constant effort of doing your best and staying on the path of righteousness (It has a better definition in Preach My Gospel. I just can't remember it right in English. XD )

Quite a change in weather!

The thing is, on a mission, and especially in life, we find ourselves slowly slacking off little by little from the things that we need to be doing. It's natural.

My invitation for all of you is that you can notice those things that you may be slacking off in, and FIX THEM!

Mission Activity - Reunion with Sister from CCM

Find more trust in God and believe that through Jesus Christ change is possible! But the right kind of change takes work, which is why we must be diligent, work, and put in a CONSTANT effort to follow Christ.

(No idea what this is about, but couldn't leave it out.)

I promise you all that you will find purpose in your life and learn to love the Lord more and come to understand just a bit more how much he loves you.

I love you all too! And hope and pray for your well-being! Have a Great week!

What Lack I Yet?

How's it going, Everybody?

Hurray for Rain!

Hope all is well and life is great!

This week I re-read a couple of talks from the General Conference of last October. Wow, I haven't done a lot of re-reading of Conference talks in my life. I always just watched them, said "well, that was cool," and moved on with my life.

But, those talks are scriptures, and scriptures help you no matter what time it is or how long it's been.
I promise you all that that is true. Those talks I read really helped me remember who I am and learn things that I can do to become a better missionary and person.

One talk that really helped was by a Seventy that talked about a story in the Bible of a rich and righteous man who asked Jesus, "What lack I yet?" or, in other words, "What is keeping me from progressing?"  "What more can I do?"

He then promised us that if we ask Heavenly Father that, that we will receive an answer, and if we apply that answer in our lives, we will progress, become better, help more people, and become a better disciple of Christ.

My invitation is that you can all re-read conference talks and apply them. Ask God, "What Lack I yet?" And you will find more happiness that you thought was possible. The Spirit will guide you to the talks that you need to read to help you as well.

I love you all!
Have a great week!
And
GIVE 'EM HEAVEN!

Hola Mis Queridos Amigos!

Hello everybody! I hope that all is well in the promised land!

First Sugared Cereal in the Mission Field!
I must be a KID, 'cause I love me some TRIX!

Scavenger Hunt

This week was a nice and hot week. But it was fun! Presidente decided to make his way down to Delicias and grace us with his presence. He and the Zone Leaders talked to us about how we can become better missionaries and continue to adjust well to all the changes that have passed recently. Good Stuff.

Oh, the things that entertain a missionary...
...and the things a missionary does to entertain us!

Also, this last Fast Sunday was very special. I don't know why, but I was blessed with the energy necessary to do the work that I came here to do. And, in Church, the Spirit was incredibly strong. Being weakened physically with the purpose of blessing others helped me feel the love that God has for every one of us.

I hope that you all enjoyed your fast and used it well to bless others. It's more than just going hungry. It's a higher law that God gave us so that, as we sacrifice a little of the many blessings we have, others will receive something more.

Thank you for all your love and support!

Have the Greatest of Weeks This Week!

Enjoy the Olympics!

Love,
Elder Greenwood :)

MIlagros (Miracles)

(Sent August 1, 2016)

Delicias Field

This week I learned a lot about miracles. Our mission president sent us a certain talk given by Elder Neil L. Andersen to mission presidents about developing the faith to baptize converts.

City Park

Our new mission president is EXTREMELY focused on making sure that the people that we do baptize are truly converted to such a point that they will continue strong in the Church after their baptism.

In that talk, it explains a whole lot about miracles - how to receive them, why they are necessary, and everything. God is a God of miracles. There are verses in every single book of scripture that show and prove that. And God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, meaning that miracles have not, do not, and will not ever cease.

Elders Viscaya, Greenwood, Harrison, Brindis (comp)
And we, as members of His true church, have the chance to see miracles every single day. Not only do we have the chance, but we SHOULD and NEED to see miracles every day. If we haven't seen a miracle pass in a day, either you weren't looking or you need to do something more for somebody else.

I promise you all that if you work to find miracles and make miracles, you will see them every single day without fail. I promise you all because I am a witness of that promise. I saw a miracle every day this week. Whether big or small, God's hand was there because God is always with those who want him there. And those who want him there show it.

Have a great week every body! Work hard and look for miracles. And you will find them and become a happier person and a better disciple of Christ in the process.

With Love,
Elder Greenwood :)
